The Brighton Dive Centre

Local Diving

With The Brighton Dive Centre being located in Brighton Marina we have access to two great shore diving sites right on our doorstep!

Brighton Palace Pier

Our site to the west of the Marina arm is Black Cat beach, down the pebbles to the waters edge where you will find crabs, lobster, starfish and schools of British seafish in and around the old Victorian railway support blocks.

Over on the eastern side of the Marina is Channel Gardens, a beautiful site with lots of vegetation to contrast against the white chalk. Gulleys cut into the chalk provide overhangs covered in seaweed, providing great shots for keen photographers.

Dives under the famous Brighton Palace Pier also feature heavily during the summer months, diving between the supports spotting Tompot blennies, starfish and shellfish galore! And even the odd mobile phone!

We also run regular charters with Defiance Charters (based at the Brighton Marina)

Brighton Marina is well established as one of the largest marinas in Europe, its prime position between Selsey Bill and Beachy Head gives charter boats easy access to the many hundreds of wrecks dotted along the Sussex coastline. With such a large number of wrecks to choose from, the diving around Brighton is proving to be extremely popular, there are wrecks of all shapes and sizes catering for all grades of diver, from the novice to the experienced technical/tri-mix diver.
